PSI Engineering Services is a dba of Pelican Sales Inc. Our firm consists of several engineering, logistics, and operations management professionals.
Our Roots as Pelican Sales
Pelican Sales was founded in 1993 to service the local government community in Melbourne, Florida. During this time we provided procurement services, ongoing operations procurement, emergency response support, facilities and construction purchasing, and general MRO supply. In 1998 Pelican Sales became the largest provider of ground support equipment in support of the space shuttle program and currently holds this position today. In 2003, Joe and Cynthia Giannacco took this business over from their parents and started taking the company into new venues, such as Lockheed Martin, Space Coast Launch Services, Jacobs-Sverdrup, Nellie AFB, and the US Centcomm Headquarters in Iraq, Qatar, and Afghanistan. In 2004 we won a supply contract for Agere Systems to provide all of their procurement via our contract purchasing website. This site was customer-built to this customer’s specifications and provided a seamless process in procuring all maintenance supply for their facility in Orlando. Later that year another website was released to sell safety products commercially. In January 2005 Pelican Sales won a 4-year supply contract at United Space Alliance to supply HVAC products. We continue to be a close partner with USA in maintaining the success of the space shuttle program. In August 2006 our first GSA contracts went live which offered 13,000 safety products on federal contract. We have since shipped safety products throughout the entire world and are working with contracting departments in every US federal and state entity in the world.
